I got this to store some jars on and those jars weigh a lot. This shelf is awesome. Make sure you hang it up on a stud because it weighs about ten pounds with nothing on it.It was a breeze to assembleNeeded my husband to hold it up while I drilled it in to the wall. Make sure you use some good strong dry wall anchors. I bought 85 pound ones. But the shelf does come with some standard anchors. Get a few stronger ones so the shelf doesn't pull yor wall down.But I LOVE IT
